Healthcare Doors

ICU doors serve to ensure essential separation between patient rooms and other hospital areas

Healthcare environments are evolving to meet the rigorous demands of an aging population increasingly concerned about disease transmission through human contact. In response, the automatic door market has recently introduced products tailored to meet these stringent requirements.

These doors are specifically designed to mitigate critical life safety risks by eliminating potential delays that could arise from slow-moving doorways, thereby facilitating swift and efficient patient transport within healthcare facilities.

5800 IC Matic

The Record IC-Matic is a low energy power operation sliding door system ideal for intensive care units in the healthcare industry.

A sleek design and reduced header height proves attractive while the ability to open automatically through jamb or wall mounted touchless wall plates eliminates the need to physically touch an activation device, thereby reducing greatly the spread of germs.

The IC Matic features a unique positive latching mechanism that utilizes a fail secure lock with an emergency manual override. This ensures secure closure of the door after both sliding and breakout motions, allowing safe exit during power loss or fire emergencies. Fully compliant with UL 1784, NFPA 101, and NFPA 105 standards, the IC Matic’s positive latching mechanism guarantees reliable door security in critical healthcare environments.
